Inside Sales Representative

We currently have an open position for an Information Technology Inside Sales Representative at Silex Data Solutions. The role will involve supporting the existing sales staff at key accounts primarily focused on the Southeast Region. Candidate will be expected to have an understanding of IT Software and Hardware and have basic computer skills (Microsoft Office). The role will include preparing information and quotes for customers, managing pipeline, assisting with customer support issues, attending product training, achieving sales certifications, supporting Silex staff, customer, and partner relationships, and growing the Silex customer base. The candidate will also assist the team in planning and executing events, driving social media presence, participating in user groups, and bringing forward creative ideas to drive success.

Relevant Experience:

  • College degree or equivalent of 5 years of IT Manufacture or VAR/Channel Sales Experience.
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn IT products to address business challenges: Data Storage, Security, Networking, Consulting, Virtualization, or Software/Hardware
  • Capable of developing and maintaining complex operational workflows.
  • Capable of working in an unsupervised role and ability to prioritize tasks based on criticality.
  • Aptitude and desire to continually learn new technologies and concepts.
  • Strong interest in sales within the IT industry and an interest in growing into an outside sales role.
  • Self-disciplined and motivated to drive business with minimal supervision.

Pre-Sales Engineer

We currently have an open position for Pre-Sales Engineer at Silex Data Solutions in the greater Birmingham, AL area. The role will involve supporting the existing sales efforts at key accounts and driving new customer opportunities primarily focused on the Southeast Region.

The role will include presenting information to customers, assisting with customer support issues, attending product training, achieving technical certifications, building and maintaining customer and partner relationships, and growing the Silex customer base. The candidate will also assist the team in participating in user groups, and bringing forward creative ideas to drive success.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

  • Candidate will be expected to have a working knowledge of IT Infrastructure (core data center technologies) AND/OR Big Data (predictive analytics).
  • College degree or equivalent of 5 years of IT Manufacture or VAR/Channel Sales Experience.
  • Experience selling IT products: Data Storage, Security, Networking, Consulting, Virtualization, Predictive Analytics, or Software/Hardware
  • Capable of developing and maintaining key relationships.
  • Established track record of exceeding goals.
  • Experience in developing technology solutions to address business challenges.
  • Aptitude and desire to continually learn new technologies and concepts.
  • Self-disciplined and motivated to drive business with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent technical and business skills, including project management knowledge.
  • Excellent attitude and a self-starter who takes strong accountability for personal results.
