The ideal candidate will be an experienced technology salesperson who is comfortable in business development generating sales leads with new clients and maintaining existing customer relationships. These candidates will be able to understand a prospective client’s unique needs and offer solutions based on budget, existing technology investments, and future direction. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and have a positive track record of exceeding outlined goals.   

The role will involve supporting the existing sales efforts in key accounts and driving new customer opportunities primarily focused on the Memphis or Nashville territories. Candidates will be expected to have a working knowledge of IT Infrastructure (core data center technologies) as well as Hybrid and Cloud offerings. The role will include presenting information to customers, assisting with customer support issues, attending product training, achieving sales certifications, building and maintaining customer and partner relationships, and growing the Silex customer base.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals and sales quotas.
  • Experience in managing a book of business, clear understanding of sales process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and customer relationship management software.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain key relationships with customers and partners.
  • Ability to work independently as this position is remote/virtual.   
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to tackle challenging problems.  
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: creative, bold, and willing to take risks.  
  • Grittiness: ability to persevere and tackle hands-on problems when others fall away.
